Ht. 5'4", Start: 180 lb, Today: 180 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 130 lb - Hi my name is Shadee! I am a small town teenage girl just looking for a good way to loose weight. Ever since 3rd grade i started to gain weight and by the time I was in 4th grade I weighed 114lbs. Now I am in 8th and weigh 180lbs :[. This is getting out of control! I have been looking for ways to actually have an effective way to loose weight but I havent found one that works. Usually I gain the weight i lossed back. PLEASE HELP! this would be appreciated if you could get to me @ shayd66@hotmail.com I am looking for girls my age that have lossed weight FAST! and very effective. any were from 4-10 pounds in a week!! Hi Shadee, I'm Melissa. I'm in the 9th grade, as tall as you and weigh 165. I like you don't like being this way, I understand completely..I hope you reach your goal weight..I've read countless health websites and such, and you should know that eating 6 SMALL meals is the best way to go...For breakfast try an orange, apple, glass of milk and if you want a slice of whole wheat toast with a tablespoon of peanut butter. For lunch, a salad with a light dressing...Dinner, whatever your family is eating, just don't have seconds. And I've read that you should stay away from lots of grain...such as bread and rice and such...just eat less of it and eat it whole wheat....
I'm struggling with my weight too...we should create some website or group or something to keep girls' inspired and motivated. Get back to me.
And you should know...Dieting doesn't work. Know why? Because after you stop your diet you go back to eating like you used to, and that's why you gain weight back. It's about making a permanent change to eat healthier and exercise daily...(got that from one of my many health websites)

I am in 8th grade as well, and I weigh 185. I've been trying to lose weight for the longest time, but I haven't figured out anything doable... I will say that low fat foods and low sugar content foods work the best. I lost 10 pounds with that in about 3 weeks...

first of all u can only lose 1-2 lbs a week healthy
and just run. or walk like 3 miles a day
it seems like a lot but talk with some one, it goes by quickly
