Ht. 5'5", Start: 180 lb, Today: 197 lb, Goal: 140 lb - hey everyone. I know that all of you are talking about how much weight you loose and how you exercise and everything, so I was wondering if any of you could give me some help. First of all, I am 5'5 and 197 pounds. I carry almost all of my weight in my big belly. I was wondering if any of you have any exercises that are good to get rid of belly fat. I have a hard time doing cruntches because my belly makes it hard to get up. I also cannot go pushups because i cant hold up my body weight. Also, do any of you know of any stores where I can buy larger clothes. I have a hard time with pants. Now I have to wear them under my belly with my belly sagging over, which looks horrible because it peeks out under my too tight shirt. I have an overeating problem too. But before I can start to try loosing weight, I want to try to get confortable with my weight and be able to talk to someone about it. My mom who is skinny, gives me a hard time about it and wont buyme any new clothes until i loose weight. She also makes me wear bikinis because my belly streches out the one pieces too much so she is constantly buying me new ones. So if any of you have any advice it would be great. And anyone else with big belly's i would like to talk to you about it too

Hi. I have the same problems as you! I'm 5ft2 and weigh 237. I gained 40 pounds in the last year and it has mostly gone to my belly. I just have to buy the biggest pants that will fit even if they are too long and my belly still hangs over. Since my belly is so huge i find it so hard to exercise so all i can do is try to walk a lot and not eat so much. My mom is also skinny and she buys me small tops to try and hold my belly in and make me lose weight. It doesn't work thought so im just trying to make sure I don't gain anymore weight! Goodluck!

my aunty said i looked like santa claus becuz of my belly :( so yeah i have the same problem as u.

In order to lose belly fat, you have do cardio. Excersizes like sit-ups and push-ups will not give you a flat stomach unless you do the cardio because cardio burns the fat and ab excersizes just tone your abs.
Talk to your mom and tell her that you need help losing weight. It is very hard to lose weight by yourself, and if you have someone supporting you instead of bringing you down then you will find it much easier to lose weight.
