Ht. 5'4", Start: 155 lb, Today: 155 lb, Goal: 130 lb - I have just recently become overweight. It is a scary thing for me though. I have gained weight rapidly in the last year. I have always been a bit larger than eeveryone else. But now I am classified as obese.... This scares me. Alot. I don't want to be fat and never get a boyfriend. I don't want to live my life feeling ugly. So since it is summer. I have decided to do something about. This past week that I have been off, I have basicly been siting around, eating, and watching TV. But I have decided something. I don't have anything to do all day. So why waste my time, and why not spend these days working on losing weight and getting in shape for next year. So I have decided, I a going on a diet, and I am going to start excercising! But I need support, this is a hard thing for me to do. I am a very lazy person... So please, give me some support, and if you have any tips. Please let me know.

im the same age and height as you! i had the exact same problem. i was lazy and ate all the time. this summer i decided to get off my butt and get in shape. it feels great! you can so do it! youll love how you feel when its all over. try your best and i bet youll actually learn to enloy exercising! i do now. good luck

Hi! I am proud of your determination to take care of yourself, I'm sure you'll do great! All of your weight gain may not be from lack of activity, it may also be from puberty becuase your body is going through a lot right now, which makes it hard to loose weight. I recommend buying 2 books: "The Diet for Teenagers Only" and "Bobbi Brown Teenage Beauty." They will show you how to eat well for your growing body while getting a better body image and finding your own style at the same time. So good food + self-esteem + moderate exercise= weight loss + confidence!! Best wishes.
