Ht. 5'5", Start: 184 lb, Today: 178 lb, Goal: 150 lb - Omg I'm so frustrated and I hate myself today. I've been 178-184 lbs, fluctuating back and forth, since DECEMBER! When I woke up I realized my scale didn't work (it's digital and the battery died) but it made me even more frustrated becuase I KNOW I didn't loose anything, I'm not loosing inches, not gaining any self esteem. I feel like I've "cracked." I look and feel terrible, I haven't felt this bad physically and mentally for such a long time. I feel fat and old too because I get backaches and headaches sometimes and I never used to before. But I can't stand this any more. Christmas is my favorite time of year, and have 6 months to go to get down to 170, my first mini-goal. Surely I can loose 8 freakin pounds in 6 freakin months?! I want to at least look nice! Everyone in my family has been sweet saying I look so thin when they know I've gained, but at this time last year I was close to 160 lbs and loosing and I'm so mad for gaining back all this weight, I can really tell and I promised myself I would never treat myself badly again but look where I am now!!! :( Sorry about the sop story...

first stop beating yourself up so much.... this is not going to help you move on or make progress. second take a deep breath and make a plan. third we are here for you, you have a support team. fourth. if what you are doing is not working try something else if your working out 3 times a week try 4. if you are eating healther try cuting out those little splerges like fast food or candy... or try to limit yourself to one serving a day of what is bad for you.
5. dont reward yourself with food. try clothers or things you like to buy...
keep trying

Claire...omg, you're freaking hilarious!! Seriously, you should have a stand-up show! The sea, sharks, and boats, especially this pirates...ah man, I'll never forget that! But it helped SO much!!! It made me laugh like crazy and not take myself so seriously, and I did like all of the advice you put in there and thanks so much for just understanding me. I feel SO much better becuase of you two, I am totally sticking to this site until I reach my goal weight!! =]

ahh man we are in the SAME BOAT! like the SAME EXACT boat! the wind is strong and the tides are mighty..butttttt we have to get over them! keep our feet on the ground and set sail like two master sailers! lol ok enough with the boat story. I KNOW EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL! I was 159 like last year and I was so happy, getting so close but then allll of a sudden I shot up to 178! and it's like how the hell did that happen? I just got stressed with school and dug into any food I could find and totally, completely neglected exercise! but LISTEN, listen to me! this is your conscience speaking! YOU CAN DO THIS, and those backaches and headaches...I've been getting them too! and I think it's because we've been working out and changing up our diets. I remember when I first started dieting, I used to killller migraines! and that ususally happens when you change your lifestyle nutrition wise and everything, so cherish the painn! =) it means something is working in there. The ocean is hugeeee, our boat can back or it can go forth---YOU decide. There will be pirates trying to get you down, and sharks swimming around the boat..but you have to learn to ignore those people and keep goingg no matter what. Ok wow, this was a weird comment. I got into my story telling mode for a minute there. But I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. It's frustrating as HELL, I know! I feel the samee and sometimes I just want to bash my head against the wall and throw my scale out the window. Just carry on and keep eating right and exercising, before you know it...you'll be at your goal weight :) once again (sorry for the silly, awkward references to the sea) tc, and good luck!

you CAN DEFINITELY do it! You need to take a hard/harsh look on what you're ingesting and how hard you're working out. Look not only at calories- but also where the calories are coming from. Add less processed foods to your diet and more more more fiber. fiber helps you lose weight, regulate you digestion, and even lower your cholesteral! basically- it's great for your health. also, look at your protein levels- make sure you're getting enough. you should still be getting 60+ g of protein daily even on a 1200 calorie diet! try to stay below 1800 cals, but also change it up from week to week, day to day. don't let your body get used to your routine, change you types of workouts, time, how much you're ingesting, types of foods etc. you will get there. we have to believe and work our hardest at it. but i know how you feel. it took me soooo long to start actually losing, then i just figured out i really can't lose weight without paying attention to my calories. good luck!
