Ht. 5'7", Start: 260 lb, Today: 250 lb, Goal: 200 lb - I'm Melanie. I've been overweight for all my life and I want to lose weight. I'm new to this message bored. I just statred trying to lose weight and if any one has any tips, I'd really love them!!! thanks, Melanie

drink a lot of water, pick up lower calorie alternatives, like my main alternative is, instead of bread i pick up whole wheat low carb tortillas to make sandwiches in, and they are soooo good and 10g of fiber (no joke- seriously, and fiber helps you lose weight a lot!) and 6g of protein and only 90 calories!!! as opposed to two slices of bread which would be 3g fiber, 5g protein and 150 calories! see what i mean- there are so many alternatives, you just have to shop around and find them. eat a lot of fiber and protein and less calories (and generally, i find that when things are high in those two nutrients they're less in calories anyways which is helpful). and just keep gradually amping up your exercise. start off slow so you don't discourage yourself by not keeping up with your expectations and most importantly- come on here for inspiration and support! it really does help. good luck! you can do this!
