Ht. 5'2", Start: 240 lb, Today: 230 lb, Goal: 180 lb - hey everyone i just started this new diet that i bought at the gym can anyone tell me is eating 1,500 good to lose weight or do i need to eat less to day i ate 1482 please tell me your thoughts thank ya. 1500 calories a day is a great place to start! I suggest sticking with that for a couple of weeks, then seeing how much you lose. If you lose about 2 pounds a week, then you are doing great, and keep eating that same amount of calories every day. If you don't lose more than half a pound a week though, I would suggest cutting it down 100 calories a day... and continuing on that path until you are losing 1 or 2 pounds a week consistently.
