Ht. 5'5", Start: 174 lb, Today: 174 lb, Goal: 135 lb - So this is my first post and I starting to get really nervous about the end of summer. i told myself at the beginning that i was going to exercise and lose all this weight but instead i have managed to put on seven or eight pounds this summer, its so gross. I am starting college in one week and i am really scared cause all i keep hearing about is the freshmen 15 and i cannot afford to gain anymore weight. anyone got any tips for keeping the weight off in college??

my friend and I have been talking about the freshmen 15 not to long ago and both of us don't want to gain it(we are both over weight already) anyways here are some tips
1.as soon as you get find out about the gym their and see if there is any weight loss or mantience club on your campus
2.eat healthy portions stay away from fried food
3.instead of eating say a whole dessert split it with someone
4.keep healthy snacks around one of my favorites is green apples they help your system lose weight
5.one of the best things you can eat for breakfast is oatmeal it helps detoxify your system
6.make some friends that have the same goal as you
7.no pop(i drink propel instead of pop)not even diet pop tahts just as bad for you as regualar
well GOd bless you

Well my sisters are in college and they avoided the freshman 15 because they didn't buy snacks to keep in their dorms so they would have to walk to cafe when they were hungry and if they were tired they didnt want to walk there so they just didnt snack. Plus they had a lot of homework to keep them busy and food off their minds. Also their colleges had a gym so you can go there too! Good luck
