Ht. 5'9", Start: 202 lb, Today: 187 lb, Goal: 165 lb - So I've been stuck at the same weight for a while now, and did some research about platues, or 'set point'. Your set point is the weight your body wants to remain, and it will do everything it can to stay at the particular weight making it very hard. So to get past it you either decrease your calories, exercise more, or one or the other. So starting today I am cutting my calories by 50 and exercising even more. I'm going to hit the gym 3 times a week while doing all the cardio/strength training i have been. i'll see what happends. hopefully i start losing again! the only problem is 1200 cals a day is not enough that the body needs, so if i stop losing after eating 1250 for a while, then I'm stuck beacause i cant go down to 1200. so i'm a little condused about that. But good luck to everyone :)

Uh oh...the dreaded plateau. :( Have no fear though! It looks like you have a good plan. I'd say just try upping the exercise at first though and see how that goes. I've done 1200 calories before, and I know how painful it can be. It was successful, but it gets rough. Plus, if you are exercising already, that should be cutting some of your calories out. Anyway, best of luck to ya! :)
