Ht. 5'4", Start: 150 lb, Today: 150 lb, Goal: 130 lb - I just started walking last week for 30 mins. Can anybody explain how exactly will walking/jogging help me?? Ex)will my stomach have any effects or any other parts of my body??

Any cardio that you do(like running,jogging) will give you a total body workout. That means you will see fat lose all over your body. You legs will be toned and you will lose the fat on your stomach.

Hey Shanene, to answer your question, first of all I need to know if you are walking at a moderate pace or at a pace that really gets your heart pumping. Basically, the more you get your heart pumping the more of your body your working. That is what cardio does. As for having an effect on specific parts of your body, it is different for everyone. Since walking involves your legs very much, it is likely that you're legs will shape up. What you should do for now to find out what part of your body you're losing fat from is to measure your waist, hips, thigh, and arm (bicep) to see where you are losing inches. From there you'll know what part walking effects and then find some other work outs for other parts of your body. Good luck! I hope that helps!
