I thought the others explained it pretty good, but i'll put in an explenation, that maybe you will understand? To lose weight you must consume less calories than you burn. SO u burn more calories than u eat. By exercising, you are increasing the number of calories you burn. you eat and dont exercise, or you eat and do exercise. Which is going to use more calories?

I can't explain it any better...It's just you have more calories out than in. Honestly with things like that does it really matter as long as your losing weight how the weight is lost?? lol

ok think of it this way your body burns about 1200 calories if you do nothing everyday. Then you eat 1200 calories worth of food. thats like 1200-1200=0 But insted of not doing anything that day you went shopping, exercised and went to your freinds house and while you were there you played basketball. Along with the fact we do things during the day like walk and type and w/e you do. Well lets just say with all the things you did you burned 1000 calories. Now the equation is 1200-1200-1000=-1000 if you end up with -1000 calories each day you will have -7000 for the week and thats 2 lbs. I hope you like math with how I explained that. I like math a lot lol.

Hmmm....I still don't get it? lol And I eat breakfast every morning and then an hour later go on the treadmill...We need energy from food in order to work out. I can't just wake up and go straight to the treadmill.

Well if you eat first, you can't possibly burn all the off. So it's like the same if you exerciae after or before you eat. I don't understand why it's better to exercise before, Just say you wake up at 10 AM and you have no calories in you (because you haven't eaten because you woke up) then you go exercise loads. Your body is killing of stored fat, which makes you lose weight. If you eat than exercise, your body is killing off the calories you just ate, and can't reach to the stored fat. Then you do that on repeat, because sleeping burns calories, because you grow when you sleep. I'm not sure if that made sense. I just taught myself that and it's logical and makes sense. lol. hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
