Ht. 5'3, Wt. C:130?? G:120 - Does anyone know anything about how good or BAD diet sodas are for you?? It seems like everyone trying to lose weight that I know or just trying not to gain weight is drinking tons of diet soda. I persanaly can only have it once every week because it bloats me to where I look like a pumpkin. Plus I'm not to much for the taste. I never was a huge soda person incept for when I would visit my dad. I'm only asking this because I'm going camping this weekend with my dad and he asked what type soda I wanted. I told him water for me and my friend likes Sprite or Diet Pepsi. He asked what I would drink and I said Diet Pepsi but I don't want any. So I probably will only drink it if he didn't get water. But I am bringing water for myself anyways. I also said cereal for breakfast and apples for snacks. I plan on only eating half of his bbQ steak. Any other advice for a unawhere dad and camping with a skinny friend that can eat anything??

Diet soda isn't really going to hurt or help you in the long run. My personal favorite is Diet Sunkist Lemonade. It's lemonade so it's not really a soda, but it's also sparkling so it tastes kind of soda ish. Good luck!

I always thought regular soda is better than diet, because the aspartme (can't spell) in diet is bad. Even though diet has no calories, it has more unhealthy stuff in it. I would just stick to water, or maybe bring flavored bottled water (like the raspberry dasani) or something. I don't like pop, because when I drink it, I feel horrible, so I usually drink diet rite, which I'm sure isn't that good for you but it doesn't have sodium/carbs nor calories or sugar. Have fun camping!

ook well Idk....I don't like diet anything that much. I mean it had the word DIE in it so it can't be any good. lol Yea I hope my dad got the hint when I said WATER AND APPLES for snacks. If non I'll just bring some healthy food in a lunch box. That always works.

Well, some people say it is and some it isn't. I personally would try to avoid it, because most magazines and websites say that the aspartame in diet soda is worse for your body, making you actually gain more weight than if you would have just drunk the regular soda. Plus soda kills calcium and dehydrates you. I would plan on bringing lots of water!
