Ht. 5'3", Start: 190 lb, Today: 220 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 175 lb - i am about to be in the 6th grade and i don't feel comfortable about my body. i want to loose weight because I dont want a short life of health problems. I also want to loose weight because iwant to feel better about my self and i don't want to get picked an because of my weight.

i was like that when i started year 7! but then i broke out of my little food box then started to believe in my self and that is what you have to do so GOOD LUCK XX

dont worry iam in 6th grade and over weight if you go to gym and when you change in or out of your p.e clothes go to a conner and change away from people! i hope you like 6th grade bye

You need to exercise a good amount.Nothing complex, but if you can start walking everyday, thats a great way to burn fat.Just walk until your tired, and try to walk abit further next time.It would also be good if you tried to eat less.Have smaller portions on your plate,maybe. I guess maybe you heard this before, but eating less and exercising are really the safest ways to lose weight.Just keep in mind losing weight can be SLOW.But if you stay with trying to eat better, and exercising, you will lose weight. Is there any chance that you can get your family or friends involved to help you out? GOOD luck.

Well... do you think it is that you are lacking in exercise or that you aren't eating good food? Umm... you may want to make your goal lower. Good luck!
