Ht. 4'5", Start: 190 lb, Today: 190 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 100 lb - I am the fattest girl in my year at school and I hate it a lot. I am hoping I can lose weight this year because my doctor says I have pre-diabtes and that I must, but I am not sure I will be able to.

Jo-
Remember that there is more to you than your weight! I'm sure you are a fantastic kid with lots of awesome things about you! It's great that you want to improve your health.
I used to be overweight, and I kept trying to lose weight by making big changes. It never worked. The thing that helped me was to start with little changes. Start by having a piece of fruit before other snacks. Don't make yourself cut out all the bad stuff all at once. Pick one thing, and replace it with something good. When that becomes easy, add something else. And remember that everybody has good days and bad days. One step at a time! You've got this!

Jo, I was just your w.t. just renctely, 190 lbs its a horrible num to weigh at, small goals like 2-5 lbs than 10-15 and so on, small mini goals re a great way to start of losing the unhealthy w.t.., there have been girls your age who lost 90-100+ lbs! take it easy, I 'd ask your doctor what's the best amount of calories you need to be eating cause one thing your re growing, still, you re special yes writing calorie target goal, with pen/Pencil keep a diary,
