Ht. 5'6", Start: 182 lb, Today: 182 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 140 lb - Um hey. Im new to this chatroom but I need help. Im seriously overweight, and i want to lose weight but nothing seems to work. I have tried dieting, exercising, and other wierd things. Im going into seventh grade next year and I want to stop being the girl no one wanted to sit next to. I cant stop thinking about my weight-its horrible! I need help and I thought you guys could possibley give me a plan or anything really. My life is miserable and I know if I get thinner I'll be happier. Please help me.

182 isn't so bad. just try drinking water instead of soda and eat 3 meals a day. no more no less. a snack or two won't kill ya either. try and go on walks starting at 5 minutes to an hour.

Hey Krystal, I know exactly how you feel so just hang in there ok? I'm going into grade eight, and I'm around your height and weight. I know people can be cruel even if they don't say anything. In my experiences, people just avoided talking to me and making eye contact with me, but I obviously notice and I know it hurts. The worst part is that I'm the only overweight person in my grade, so I constantly have that feeling that if I wasn't in my class, they'd be picture perfect. But just think about proving all of those people wrong. Think about finally getting to wear what you want, not what fits your size. What keeps me motivated is thinking about how much confidence I'll gain, and picturing having one of those "How do you like me now?" moments if you know what I mean. Thinking about this really motivates me to keep pushing myself until I'm satisfied. Try cutting your servings in half. Everything that you'd usually eat, cut it in half instead. Also try to chew 20-30 times before swallowing, and drink lots of water. You've probably heard the water thing before, but it really helps a LOT More than you'd think.
