Ht. 5'3", Start: 168 lb, Today: 168 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 140 lb - 12 is the oldest age here, and 14 is the youngest age on the teens board, ah well. So I want - and need - to lose weight, I'm bullied for it every day, I'm called fat of course, fatty, whale, and crude remarks are sent my way every day. Now, I'm not telling you guys a sob story, the whole point of this was to come here and give you some background information, and that I want to lose just 28 pounds - the equivalent of 2 stone. Just so I can get to 10 stone, my comfortable weight. I've started going to the gym twice a week because I'm busy every other day, but so far I've not noticed anything, probably because I keep eating sweet foods...help?

Hey Ruth. You're probably gaining muscle at the moment, then you will see a difference. Try to cut out a bit of the sweet foods and try to think about portion control. First, you'll feel the need to eat more, but soon you'll be able to eat a healthy portion of food and still feel full. As for the gym, that's really great that you're getting into that habit. Sleeping also helps with weight loss believe it or not. Get some rest and keep at it. Luck!
