Ht. 5'1", Start: 107 lb, Today: 115 lb (BMI %tile: 90), Goal: 105 lb - Ok, i havent posted in a long time for fear of my weight. I gained 8 pounds since I last posted. I ate two double Mickey D's cheese burgers, 2 small frys, and a milkshake within 2 days. Yesterday I ate 3 helpings of parmesan spirals at school, and today I drank 2 chocolate milks and 3 helpings of chicken nuggets. I know this is bad, but I just cant help myself. I always have an urge to eat more than one helping of most everything I eat! Please comment.

i feel you im a little older than you and i can say no to food too im sure you will be slim one day but here some tips to help you aloge the way It sounds like you really want to make a change...so now it's time to take some steps toward that goal. To start off, you should pick a very short term goal, like losing 1 pound by the end of this week. Now, you need to decide what you're going to do to lose that pound. Pick something realistic that you will be able to stick to. I usually suggest cutting out soda & juice & drinking only water. It's a quick & easy way to cut out a lot of calories & water helps to cleanse your system & speed up your meatbolism. As for exercise, I usually suggest to just start walking. No need to tell yourself you're going to start running 3 miles everyday...it just doesn't work that way, you won't do it. Start by walking for 30 minutes everyday. As you get better & used to it, you'll naturally want to start walking longer & faster. Another easy change to make is to pick the healthy option of things you're already eating - if you use 2% milk, switch to skim...if you eat chips, switch to baked, if you eat ice cream, switch to frozen yogurt. Ideally, you'll eventually like to cut down on all of those items but for now, making those changes WILL allow for weight loss. The most important thing is to really remember how badly you want this, because in the end, that is what is going to get you through the entire process. & one final tip, avoid unnecessary snacking. When you feel like snacking for no reason other than boredom...find something else to do! If you want a snack NOW, just wait. Say you'll have it later & do something else in the meantime. You'll find that you end up forgetting about it completely & realize that you don't really need it or want it.
thanks hope this helps a lots

Okay. Well, I am no expert, but here's what i would do.
SCHOOL
I would share some of my food with friends. I do this right now and my friends that are underweight are gaining some weight while i loose weight.
Bring your own water to school. Buy those 5 calorie mix things. Drink those instead of chocolate milk.
----
HOME
I would ask my parents to hide any junk food so that i could not find it. Out of sight, out of mind.
At dinner, I would ask my parents to get it for me and tell them to give me a little bit less than normal. At night before bed, exercise for like a half an hour.

GOOD LUCK!

Hey Milos,
I just want you to know that a lot of people battle with the issue you find yourself in right now. I do, and I'm 21 years old! Learning how to eat a balanced, healthy diet will probably be the best thing for you. Ask your parents to keep veggies and fruits in the house. Then, when you feel like you need to eat more than you know you should of those tasty chicken nuggets, or whatever else it is you are eating, just snack on the healthy things. It's all about balance.
Also, know that it is only healthy to be losing 1-2 pounds per week. If you're losing more than that, it will creep back because you're probably only losing muscle. Most importantly, just focus on being a kid okay? You're only 11 years old and shouldn't be worrying about this yet!
Good luck :)
