Before you post a reply saying that your child is overweight or that you want them to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator. If the calculator says that your child is healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that they are overweight or that you want them to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

From Help Please!!, child's age 12

I'm sorry if this doesn't make a lot of sense. I'm in shock still about my son. I got a call that he had collapsed at school and went to the hospital. They told me it was a mild heart stutter brought on by obesity. I said that wasn't something 12 year olds had and they said yes but most 12 year olds don't weight 302 lbs. I couldn't believe it. I still don't. I know I hadn't weighed him in a while and I knew he was a few lbs overweight but thats more than his dad. He is hooked up to all these monitors and has oxygen and I can see his rolls and stretch marks and how large his chest is (bigger than mine!) and it is scaring me. I don't know what to do and I'm worried I'm going to lose my beautiful baby boy. Help.
