Before you post a reply saying that your child is overweight or that you want them to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator. If the calculator says that your child is healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that they are overweight or that you want them to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

From Betty, child's age 9

I am writing for advice about my grandson Bobby. Last year, our don, Bobby's father remarried after being divorced from Bobby's mom for three years (our son has custody of Bobby) Our new daughter-in-law is a very nice person. The problem is that since the marriage, Bobby has put on a lot of weight and has gone from thin to very fat. He's staying with us this weekend, and i got him on the scale this morning. He weighs 162 pounds! My husband and I are both thin and don't overeat. When Boddy spends weekends with us, he pouts if we don't give him extra portions and if we take him shopping he always wants to stop for a snack. He was never like this before our son remarried (Our son has gained weight too). My husband tells me to mind my own business but I'm worried about Bobby. He looks like a totally different boy with his big belly and backside and round face. What can I do?
