~REPLY WRITING AREA~

Before you post a reply saying that your child is overweight or that you want them to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator. If the calculator says that your child is healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that they are overweight or that you want them to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

If you are an adult and not a parent, type your child's age as '0'

From Andrew, child's age 17

Hi everyone, I’m Drew. My son is 17, 6 feet tall and about 265 pounds. He’s always been a huge kid, very large and wide frame for someone of height, a thick and stocky build. I never paid much mind to it because he was always a larger kid and his weight never seemed to impact him. He’s relatively active, likes to go on hikes and is working with the emergency medical department. While it was obvious that he was quite heavy, I never would have suspected that he was this heavy. Does anyone know how to address this issue, when his weight doesn’t really impact him negatively? It can’t be good for his health.
