~REPLY WRITING AREA~

Before you post a reply saying that your child is overweight or that you want them to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator. If the calculator says that your child is healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that they are overweight or that you want them to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

From Janice, child's age 15

I’ve waited to post about my daughter, but at this point she need halo And I️ don’t know how to help her. Her name is Emily and she weighs 476 lbs. She has been wearing loose clothing for the past year, so I️ couldn’t see her ballooning. We went to the doctor the other day and they weighed her. She started crying and I️ stoped breathing when I️ heard her weight. I️ was in shock so I️ told the nurse to do a full exam on her. They had to remove all her clothes and often had to lift her gut just to see what they were checking. I️ felt horrible. Emily cried the entire time, and wouldn’t look any one in the eyes. She couldn’t even touch her thighs or do a squat. They had her sprint down the hall. She didn’t even make It down half way before stopping and gasping for breath. On our way home I️ asked her why this happened and she said that she was a gainer. Apparently she has a friend online that has forced her to gain weight and she said she liked it. What do I️ do?
