~REPLY WRITING AREA~

Before you post a reply saying that your child is overweight or that you want them to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator. If the calculator says that your child is healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that they are overweight or that you want them to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

If you are an adult and not a parent, type your child's age as '0'

Check here if you are a teen or preteen and type your age in the Child's Age box

From Bryan, child's age 15

Hi All I have 2 twin sons, Kevin and Anthony, who are both roughly 215-220 pounds (rough estimation-wouldn't be suprised if it was more), and 5'9. For the past year, they lived with their mother across the country and I have not been able to see them. The last time I saw them was in December '13 and they were 5'8 and around 145-150 pounds. I was suprised that they grew so much in that short amount of time, and honestly do not know how to approach this subject now that they live with me full time. Over the past 2 or so months that they have been with me, I did take note of their eating habits and they do eat a lot, but not an abnormal amount (growing teen boys do eat a lot of food haha). They are both relatively athletic, they were soccer goalies back out in Washington, and their weight does not seem to have much of a physical affect on their bodies that I know of. However, the possibility of that happening is great. I think that they probably sneak food while I am working. I really don't know what to do. Any and all advice would be extremely helpful. You can respond here, or if you want, you could email me at bmatt@gmx.us Thanks.
