Before you post a reply saying that your child is overweight or that you want them to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator. If the calculator says that your child is healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that they are overweight or that you want them to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

From Martha, child's age 11

First off let me start by saying I'm not a horrible parent, I've tried in every way to help my daughter loose weight, but it doesn't work. She is a morbidly obese whale of a kid. She's a 4'11 235lb 11 year old and she plain out embarrasses me!!! She has a 63" belly that jiggles whenever she moves, and the doctor told us she had a body fat% of 63%. I'm trying as hard as I can to help her loose weight. I limit her to 800 calories a day, but she probably sneaks another 3,000. I try to make her run on the treadmill for a few hours a day but she can barely walk for 5 min. Yesterday I caught her hiding snickers bars in her fat rolls. It's gotten to the point where I don't lover her. I'm about to put her up for adoption. I don't want to, but I can't love a fat pig. If anyone has any advice on how to turn my round ball of fatness into something I don't despise I'm all ears, but I'm done being the mom of a fat girl.
