Before you post a reply saying that your child is overweight or that you want them to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator. If the calculator says that your child is healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that they are overweight or that you want them to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

From Jessica, child's age 14

I have two daughters as you could guess they are overweight however they don't seem to notice and bought themselves bikinis should I tell them they are too heavy for bikinis. My 15 year old is 5'1" 139lb and has a 37 inch waist. Her belly hangs over normal clothes and her thighs are quite meaty. My 14 year old is 5'1" as well but 165lb, with a 43 inch waist. The doctor said she was obese and I can see it. She has many rolls and when ever she moves at all she jiggles everywhere. She is extremely fat. I don't to hurt them but I know they will be hurt even more if I don't tell them. They also embarrass me enough already they where bikinis I'll be known as mama whale. Should I tell them they are too fat for a bikini?
