Before you post a reply saying that your child is overweight or that you want them to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator. If the calculator says that your child is healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that they are overweight or that you want them to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

From Bea, child's age 16

I am very concerned about my 16 y.o. daughter. she always has been big, her last dr. appt weighed her at 198 pounds!(she is 5'4". I was so upset with her that she she weighed almost 200 lbs, I know I was very wrong and I apologized for that. Now, I am afraid shes has put on quite a bit more this year, but she REFUSES to go to her Doctor. her chest and her stomach are so incredibly large, I am always overhearing comments of strangers and even family ask if shes expecting a baby. I am so ashamed at myself because there are manytimes I am so humiliated, shes such a beautiful girl, its sad for me to see her holding her great big belly and eating all time. last week, we were painting the house so we all slept in the den, while she was sleeping her pj's had rolled up and I was in shock to see her lying there on her side, and she just had this enormous belly literally SPILLING out in front of her. i think she has to be 240 or maybe 250 lbs. she wont exercise because of the size of her chest, its very difficult for her. please any advice for me?
