~REPLY WRITING AREA~

Before you post a reply saying that your child is overweight or that you want them to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator. If the calculator says that your child is healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that they are overweight or that you want them to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

If you are an adult and not a parent, type your child's age as '0'

From Meghan, child's age 23

Hi! I'm 23 years old and I just wanted to let you parents know about what helped change my life. I struggled with weight ever since I was about 13 years old. The summer before high school I wanted to get in shape so I could try out for field hockey so I asked my parents to let me go to "FAT CAMP" At first I was nervous and kind of embarassed about the idea but it turned out to be the best decision of my life. I went to camp kingsmont in Massachussetts and lost 35 pounds my first summer, I went back every summer until I graduated high school. There are a lot of fitness/weightloss camps out there for kids. If you can afford it, it is definitly worth it to find one for your kids.
