~REPLY WRITING AREA~

Before you post a reply saying that your child is overweight or that you want them to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator. If the calculator says that your child is healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that they are overweight or that you want them to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

If you are an adult and not a parent, type your child's age as '0'

Check here if you are a teen or preteen and type your age in the Child's Age box

From Michelle, child's age 5

Hi my name is michelle and my daughter is 5 1/2 and weighs 63 pounds, which normal range is 37-47 pounds. She is 3ft8in in height. I have to be honest I'm sure I have not helped her keep a healthy diet by letting her eat what she wants..I try to give a balanced meal at meal times, but her main problem is drinks and snacks she is constantly wanting a snack always hungry and always wants desert...she is not a couch potato..she plays inside/outside and I enrolled her in soccer to get her more active..i feel bad by telling her no I guess that is my problem...what should I do or start with to get her back on track to healthy eating. Thank you!Michelle
