~REPLY WRITING AREA~

Before you post a reply saying that your child is overweight or that you want them to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator. If the calculator says that your child is healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that they are overweight or that you want them to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

If you are an adult and not a parent, type your child's age as '0'

From shelly, child's age 13

my daughter is 13 years old and i very overweight. she is about 273 lbs. she is not even 5 feet tall. last week i took her to the doctors and he weighed her and she weighed 268 lbs. he put her on a diet and told me to weigh her every week or so but not more than that. when i weighed her yesterday she weighed 273 which means she gain 5 lbs. in a week... this makes me think she has not been following the diet but i am not sure how to confront her and help her stick to it. when i weighed her she said that it didn't matter if she gained weight because i was fat. which is not untrue (i am 5'5 390 lbs.) however i don't want my daughter to go through the things that i have to. i need to make her see this.
