Hey! I'm really overweight and whenever I try to go on a diet, I get cravings for junk food and end up eating more chocolate than I would normally eat. I could handle the exercise but the food is the problem. To anyone out there who calorie counts, I need advice. Do you think its better to start with 1500 and work my way down as I lose weight, or is it better to just have 1200 each day? Also does anyone know anything about counting fat grams??? If anyone has any advice, please reply!

Ht. 5'9", Today: 269 lb (BMI %tile: 98) - Hey all-I have been to this site many many times before. I always tell myself that I am gonna stick to my diet but somehow it never works out. In english we did a skit and our teacher filmed it and showed up the tape. I know people say the camera adds 10 pounds but geez, it looked like it added a couple 100 pounds. I knew and know that i am fat, but seeing myself on there really broke me down. I weigh a whopping 269 lbs. I am pretty tall for my age (5ft 9)and I have alot of muscles- especially in my legs so I don't look as big as my weight tells me I am. I love sports especially softball. So thats a good thing. I am really committed this time. I dug out my old weight watchers stuff. And I am trying to eat healthier at lunch- today I had a ham and cheese sub with fries(I know i know delicious but deadly) and a diet pepsi (real healthy i know)but it is better than a piece of pizza, fries, a regular pepsi and 2 cookies... well if ya'll have any tips just post at the bottom it will be really helpfull :) thanks

HELLLLLLOOOOOO? ANYONE THERE! nobody replied my message! does anyone have any good low fat recipes for chicken because in my family chicken is a very essintial dinner thing and we have it like 1ce a week.actually i need low cal,salt,and sugar recipes for the following things: 1. chicken 2. spagehtii 3. and any healthy snackthanks oh and dont try the atkins diet because its not safe i researched!

Start: 180 lb, Today: 140 lb - Hey, I've gone from 180 lbs to 140 in four months with the Atkins diet. Its a low carb diet that allows you to eat as much as you want, as long as the food has little carbs. It's an easy diet, and I'm very excited. I've never looked better.

As requested and due to popular demand (wtf!), I'll add wut I've done as a dieting programme:Basically, I've cut down dramatically on all the fatty foods like chips and things; instead I go on more of an organic sort of theme and cut myself down to 1000calories a day at the most. Drinking water and eating vegetables is quite good too.Then, it's mainly exercise. I have to walk 4 miles a day to get to and from school, and then afterwards I always go swimming for about 2-3hours. I do weights as well, in the mornings. At the weekends I play rugby, and go out normally like all of my friends. And on sunday I try cycling.The trick is to keep being motivated and be strong enough to say no to any food that's irregular to my diet. Then, it's exercise a lot!

Start: 187 lb, Today: 178 lb - hi u guys its narisa again, hows it going?? i just wanted to keep u guys posted, i need all the support i can get! im starting my 3rd week and i went from 187 down to 178. hey, my aerobics teacher told my class that she read somewhere that if u want to lose weight, u shouldnt eat about 4 hourse before u go to bed and to have breakfast be ur biggest meal. i'm gonna try it and i hope it works, and if u try t good luck w/ losing weight! i hope this helps.

Start: 210 lb, Today: 145 lb, Goal: 135 lb - Ok, so I've got down from about 210lbs to 145ish in the last 6 months. I have hardly any rolls now, which is good and I'm feeling happy about my weight. I want to tone up a bit now and get down to about 130-135, but it's kinda difficult when you don't have as much weight to lose. Anyone got any ideas fer me to lose those final 10-15lbs?
All I can say is I eat about 1000cals a day, and I swim everyday. I have to walk to school fer 2miles, then back and; I do weights and I play rugby every weekend! I really don't see why I'm not losing much anymore, so If anyone can suggest anything or explain. Either reply to this thread or my e-mail address is twitch@icantfeelmylegs.com. Thanks...
