Ht. 5'4", Start: 190 lb, Today: 170.4 lb (BMI %tile: 94), Goal: 135 lb - I think rewarding ourselves is good. Not with food...I mean yeah when I'm doing really good I allow myself a cookie but I'm talking about rewarding ourselves with something other than food. My mom told me today that she was happy for me that I reached my 20 lb. goal and she took me to get a pedicure. It was great and it made me not only happy that my toes looked awesome but also about how hard I worked to lose those 20 pounds. It was remotivating for me to keep doing better! I think we should reward ourselves with something like that or a new pair of shoes, or a new shirt or jeans. It doesn't have to be clothes. Heaven knows I get excited to try out new hair or makeup products. Or we could reward ourselves with food...I don't like this idea as much because when I do this I tend to get carried away. Maybe reward ourselves with food we've never tried...something crazy like sushi or... (view more)

Ht. 5'3", Start: 162 lb, Today: 157 lb (BMI %tile: 93), Goal: 118 lb - 114 and 100 pounds is way to skinny for 5'5 usually. Unless you are slnder. Some of our familes dont want scales. That a big issue, you cant tell if you lost weight or gained.. That one issue of having no scales.
Do aim weight golas for your hight and body frame, and bones. I need 118 pounds for 5'3 because I am peite, and my body and frame and bones need that weight. And my doctor said that is a good weight goal!! I am still fighting my unwanted pounds I walked my dog for half an hour this morning today!!! I am still loseing weight!! I never want to give up. Trsut it takes time and we are girls. And boys lose weigth faster..
It ok I used to weight 162 pounds. And I feel a diffternce in my clothing. No resean to give up, for your weight goals!! keep trying teens. And even you guys are obse once you lost weight and now a healthy weight!! you will jump off the walls!! I would be boucning off the walls when I reach 118 pounds and still 5'3... You get very exicted when you reach weigth goal!!! I would be exicted.. And I would yes I did it!!

Ht. 5'5", Start: 155 lb, Today: 155 lb (BMI %tile: 90), Goal: 100 lb - I need help! I try to lose weight but I keep gaining it back. I eat exactly 1200 calories a day and exercise 2 hours a day, but it won't come off! I want cool clothes like my SKINNY friends. When I go in the store I see really cute clothes and try them on and there are too small! I'm size 10! One it was really cold outside and we had to go out for PE but I forgot my long pants and only had shorts my BFF offered to lend my hers but she is a size 0. I'm one of the fatest kids in my school and it is intimidating. All this weight is keeping my from being popular and it is ruining my life. I need help!!!!

Ht. 5'5", Start: 163 lb, Today: 157 lb (BMI %tile: 93), Goal: 114 lb - I just went to the doctor's office for my physicals and found out I lost 7 pounds in a few weeks. The only problem is that we don't have a scale at home and my parents don't want to get one. I swim laps everyday and I have vigorous life guard training 3 days a week. I really want to lose weight cause I'm tired of people's attitude towards my weight and I want to be able to find clothes that I like. I want to look good in a swimsuit and be healthier for sports. I'm going to be a freshman this year and I got braces a few months ago. I have to wear them 2 more years and my goal is to be my goal weight by the time I get them off. I want straight teeth AND healthy WEIGHT by my sweet 16 birthday, prom, wedding and LIFE. I eat healthy, control my portions, but still allow myself a little something sweet once a day. Now I am having a small cup of ice cream and I am... (view more)

Ht. 5'3", Start: 162 lb, Today: 157 lb (BMI %tile: 93), Goal: 118 lb - I looked at my clothes from last summer, I look at mysefl in the minour and say wow, you feel a lot better I do not want to go back to that path weighing 165 pounds.. I cant believe I worked so hard, to get to plain L clothing!! it is amzing to me, I do my hair, and nails, and lips when I am sad, or feeling down. The point is to keep going. I never gave up, I really want you teens to be encourged. We all have slip ups) If I make a mistake and say to myself that was not a good choice I made, I should have made a better chocie, you know what I move on. And there is a another day, and not repeat that mistake agian. And ever since then I make better choices. That a lesson we should all learn from.. You know , I manged to get out xxl clothing in womens, and Juniours!! I jsut wear L!!! I like being able to find clothes easier now!! It took me a few miutnes to find a swimsuiut!! I was like yes, and said I did it!! you teens have encourged me!!
Thanks girls with the advice.

Ht. 5'3", Start: 263 lb, Today: 217 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 200 lb - stop beating yourself up for the "bad" food choices you made its okayyy just learn from it and keep going ,,, when i make a bad eating choice after im done eating it i think of how my body feels and if it was really worth it eating it again , like mccdonalds for instance last time i ate it and went to the gym i felt HORRIBLE ! my heart was beating wayyyy to fast and my workout wasnt enjoyable =/ and eating something healthy gave me the exact opposite feeling i felt great and energized =D ,,, so my point is if you dont feel slumpy after eating it and if you didnt eat too much of it your fine stop worring so much :))
