Hey!
Ok, first of all, that is terrible that your family treats you like that. Go have a talk with them, and tell them how you feel. Family is what will really help you lose weight because they see you the most often and they can definitly help with keeping you away from fatty foods and push you to excersise. I know my family has helped me a lot!
My other advice to you is to remember everything you had to eat in a day, write it down, then go over it and think of wat you NEED to cut out of your diet. Continue to do that, then when ever you feel your self-esteem kick in, you can look over that book, and see your progress.
Good luck, and remember 80% of losing weight comes from eating healthy foods, and the rest from excersise. Now you know wat the main focal points are, and again good luck!

If your parents can't help or won't help, try an auntie or your mum's friend or a teacher or school counsellor.

I think that it is very mean and insensitive for your parents to act that way. I think that you should talk to your parents about this. It's not fair that you are treated this way, and that you feel you have to sneak food. Your parents should know that this is not the way to help someone who feels bad about their weight. Again, try talking to them about how you feel.
Love,
Sarah

Well, tell your mother you really want to loose the weight. Tell her you would appriciate greatly if she fed you healthy food. Obviously your father is on your side if he wants you to loose it too. Im sure your parent would be happy to support you in anything you want to do, so let them.

Beg your parents, cry, get it through there heads to buy healhy food and make healthy lunches. If you can't get them too, make your own money and shop for what you want--the healthiest of all foods, so when your hungry, all you eat is healthy food. Run around your block twice every morning, and gradually 6 times (1-3 miles) If you do eat something from the cafeteria, or from home that is fattening, disipline yourself by running around the block one more time. soon you'll be active in gym and look better than everyone else. DON'T GIVE UP, EVEN UNDER DEPRESSION. :)

seriously, tell your grandma and parents how you feel..it's not right for your grandma to talk about you like that. I know from experience that family members talking about you this way can really break you down and even eventually lead to depression, so please talk to them about how you feel and hopefully they will help you instead of just making you feel more self-concious about yourself. Good luck!!

Hi. I think it is wrong for your brother to do that, but you have to understand that brothers and sister normally act like that. I know it isn't right, but all siblings tease eachother, and if someone says they never do they are lying. All you can do is try not to listen to it. If they are eating foods you like just get out of the room. If you aren't there to see them eating it, maybe you won't be so tempted. Also, exercising is a proven way to get out anger and frustration. So, when they are bothering you just go for a walk or do some other exercise. I have a sister and she has had a weight problem all her life. When I was younger I use to say things about it. Even though I am overweight she is much bigger then me. As I grew older I realized how much it must bother her and it stopped. It is a part of growing up and when your brother gets a little older he will understand. As for now all you can do is ignore him.
