Try running in place for 5-20 minutes a day. If you want you can run short periods then rest. Try doing sets of 50 jumping jacks working your way up to 10 sets. Also try taebo. It's a kickboxing/aerobic workout video. It works really well, it's fun, and afterward you feel like you can kick peoples buts. Also try push ups for weight resistance training such as sets of 10 working your way up to 10 sets at a time. Good luck!

You don't have to go to a gym to get a good workout. Your parents probably already know that. All you need is a place to run or do aerobics and you can challenge yourself. Try to run 5 minutes without stopping working your way up to 20 minutes at a time. OR you can dance to your favorite music for a half an hour. This will keep you challenged and fit.

If you dont have time to go to the gym or go running, just do some crunches, push ups, and leg lifts in the mourning when you wake up and at night before you go to bed. If you have any hand weights like 5 pounds or so, try using them a well.

ok you guys, this is what i did to lose weight. First i counted calories. I allowed myself a certain number a day averaging out to between 1400 and 1800. Next, i excercised. I didn't start doing this until my 2nd month, but i wished i would have started sooner. Start a sport, even if i doesn't have a team. The best one for me was playing basketball or shooting hoops for 45 minutes a day. But i live in Michigan and it snows from November to March, so i needed something else too. I really disliked running, but that really was the only thing i could do inside, so i took to running in place for 5-15 minutes a day. I will almost garentee that you will lose 2 pounds in a week if you eat 1600 calories a day and run 12 minutes a day without walking. Same goes for eating 1600 calories a day and walking for a half an hour. I don't have a treadmill, so i have to run in place, but it's a great... (view more)

Last spring i did Taebo everyday, 45 or 30mins, for a few months. And i really thought it helped me. It helps you tone up. Good luck with it! I truely think Taebo is a great way to keep in shape :)

Try sit-ups or stomach crunches. Doing those at least 50+ times a day for an hour can really help. Sit-ups help flatten your stomach and strengthen it.

A couple of great exercises/sports to try out would be cycling and kickboxing. Cycling basically helps trim your thighs and bum. Kickboxing also does the same, but also helps the upper half of your body. I say you sure give it a try. Look for classes in your area that teach kickboxing. It helps you loose weight, and it's also fun.

Why about trying to get active in sports? Getting active can really help you loose some weight. Or maybe do some basic stuff, like walking, running, or just riding your bike. There's lots of different ways to loose weight, but it depends what you prefer.

I know everyone is probably tired of hearing me say this... but it is SO true... and it's worked WONDERS with me (I'm now known (to myself) as wonder-woman!:) )Try lifting weights... you're too young to go to a gym.. so just get some weight magazines and dumbells... and pump some iron at home. I'm 5'2 and 170... and have lost 10 pounds by just lifting weights and eating healthier (fruits and veggies.. ya know). I used to have flabby arms and thighs... and now they are taking on more definition!!! It really works! So... give that a try.

Hey.... just a little note... I've lost 5 pounds... woo hoo... pay myself on the back :) Basically just trying to change my lifestyle, exercising more and eating fruits and veggies. Water water water... the norm and all. I was thinking about something today, when I was losing a ton of weight and keeping it off... I was ROLLAR skating all the time... not because I have to, but because I enjoyed it! I can listen to my music, be left to my thoughts, and have a lot of fun. It's taken awhile to figure out what I like to do... without thinking it's EXERCISE... ya know?? Just thought I'd encourage ya'll to find something fun fun fun! Email: Abbaaskid@yahoo.com

Hi,
Hi my name is Laure & I am 15. I know what everyone is going through on this site because I am overweight too. I weigh 200 lbs and I am 5'3''. I lost my father too and I have been up & down the scale. My doctor think that due to depression I have developed an eating disorder. I eat too much or to little at times or don't eat any meat. I want you to know that this site is good for the information on it. My advice to eveyone is to just get more active. Even if you don't know how to dance create your own dance or get with some of your friends & play a game. I think even if you are 17 tags is still a cool game to play. I hope this has been helpful.
Bye
