Unless you stay witha strict diet, thats probably not going to happen. Im 5'6 and weigh about 150 lbs. I want to get down to about 120. Weight loss takes time, if it goes off too fast you will soon gain it all back. I have been trying to lose weight since January and Ive only lost about 15. Your going to backslide, and your weight will level off for awhile, but if you keep at it it will melt off faster than you think. It will almost definitely take more than 5 weeks to lose 10 lbs though. Id be happy to trade info with you if you want.

Mags,
You are doing the right thing. I am now eating healthily and I feel great! Not only have I lost 16 pounds steadily but I feel fitter and my skin has got better. I am nearly at my goal weight. I felt bad at the beginning and a bit despondent but I am nearly there now but I will not go back to my old eating habits because I feel so much better now. I will never be thin - and I don't want to be - because that is genetics but neither will I be wobbling all over the place like I was before. Just remember that if you are positive then you will get there and don't worry if you have a bad day, just start the next day afresh. Good luck.

You are so lucky to be tall. I am only 4 foot 9 and I won't get much taller because my parents are both small. First advice, forget what everyone else says about being 100 pounds. Why do they feel they need to boast? Probably because they are insecure. Also, if you are tall and big boned then you will be heavier anyway. If you are really worried then talk to the school nurse or a doctor. They will probably say that for your height and bone structure, you are about right. Anyway, think of it this way: you can lose weight but if these girls are short then they can't grow. I am one of the shortest in my class and chubby but I have just lost five pounds with a sensible diet. I accept my lack of height because I can't do anything about it but I think I have other great attributes that other people don't have. Make the most of what you have and stand tall. Forget what other people say. What is important is what you think. People that boast about things like weight or new clothes etc are usually insecure about themselves.
