I thought the same thing going into middle school, and i am now reaching the end of it. What i learned is that, yea, people can be VERY mean, but that's how kids are nowadays, to keep people making fun of them, they make fun of other people. If you try to be friendly, get a new attitude, like yourself, you could be very popular, because in my school, their ARE a couple of big kids that are popular, and they are soo friendly that they make friends with other people to make them popular too. Just think about that, no matter where you go, you will always make friends if you try. If you need something else, e-mail me at Starr110288@aol.com

If you carry yourself good, and talk to a lot of people. Girls will like you.

I understand your concerned and everything but maybe hes just a little embaressed to share these figures with you. You should tell him about the risk factors he has since he is overweight and consider to help him. If he isnt already in sports.. you 2 should join something together if your really good friends. Well I hope everything works out and good luck

Hey, I am sorry to hear that but there IS something that you can do. Set up a workout plan for yourself and ask if she would like to do it with you. This way you are helping her but not hurting your feelings. And the only other thing to do is too tell her that you worry. Tell her about diabetes and other health problems. If she is a good friend, she will listen to you and take in your concern. Anyway, I hope I have helped! Tell me what happens, ok? My e-mail is soccerchic214@msn.com. Good luck!! Kate

You shouldnt lose weight just for a girl. you should fin someone who likes you for who you are, not if you have abs. :)

Hey everyone! I just wanted to say that the best thing in the world just happened to me!! I was at my cousins and this hot guy named Eddie was with us. He said he thought that I was hot even though I am not skinny!! I was so happy. That just shows me that even if you are not as skinny as the girl next to you, your still beautiful!! Never give up!!!!! Luv KATE

So she would want you for your abs and them alone?

If you want to lose weight don't do it just for the girl. You have to do it for you. I know that sounds really stupid but everytime i tried to lose weight for this one guy i liked i'd get mad at him and gained all the weight back. So do it for you and you alone. If you ever want to talk or something e-mail me at GlitterBabe@aol.com

First of all, it would help all of us if you could tell us your height and weight. Second, at 12 most girls only like guys that they hang out with, or are their friends. Most of the time it developes from a friendship, to a crush, to a dating relationship. For right now, just get some friends. Be nice to people. You'll be surprised by how many people actually will like you for who you are. There are people out there who feel the same way you do, and will understand how you feel, so don't think you are the only soul on earth who has to deal with a social problem. Finding someone who relates to you can give you a great friendship, and if it's a girl, you might just be lucky enough to like each other for more than friends. If you go looking for love, it will avoid you, just sit back and relax and it will come knockin' on your door! Good luck.

I dont think anyone likes being fat, and you will only find love when you love yourself, so tell yourself you're beautiful, and soon you'll find a special someone will too

obviously these people arent really your friends if they make fun of you. to lose weight you have to love yourself, inside and out. i know its hard when you can only see flaws but try to be positive and get yourself some nice friends that'll encourage you and help you

wella wella well well...ok. heres what ya do- ask her if she wants to do this new diet you read/heard about with you. you guys could go jogging or workout together and both of you could write out menues of what is OK to eat on your new diet plan. this way you do not have to single her out by sitting her down and telling her shes fat and needs help. this would acheive anymore than making her feel like a complete loser. afterall, no one can be TOO fit and ya'll might have major bonding time in the process.

well first the reson skinny people aren't really supportive is because, well if they are your freinds, they don't want to talk about it. since they are skinny they don't know what it is like being bigger. so they just don't say anything at all. they could say the wrong thing with out knowing it and hurt your feelings. so if u want them to be supportive, let them know it is ok to talk about your weight problem and it won't hurt your feelings. maybe they will be more open mindin about it if u tell them that. and the reson why some people think that over weight people aren't fit is cuzz well some times over weight people aren't fit. it is very unusul to find one that is.
