i am not trying to be harsh here but when are parents were growing up 1 out of 30 kids would be maybe a little overweight no it seems that almost every other kid is over weight, love handles, rolls, man boobs, double chins. That is pathetic. it is because they spend countless hours on the computer or watching tv and eating. kids used to ride bikes everywhere, play active games, and be active, run around outside. here's one tip: try not to base every activity you do on eating, cut the extra snaks, only try one snak a day and have it be fruit, eat healthy meals, take a jogg around the block everyday, start by doing sit-ups and doubling how much u do every week, try doing push ups, ride ur bike every day, and if that doesn't work ask ur parents to buy foods without hydrogynated oils, which result in getting fat, diabetes, ya know. puttin ona few pounds. Try only watching tv on the weekends... (view more)

i know exactly how you feel. the only advice i can give is for you to eat only when your hungry and when you do eat, only eat enough to fill you up. if you go into the kitchen to get a snack when your not hungry, you need to think to yourself "i want to lose weight and by eating this food when im not hungry i am gaining more weight". the only thing you can do is fight yourself and not eat if your not hungry and dont eat a lot when you are hungry. good luck!

Everytime you are about to eat something when you are not hungery just remember that you are not able to control yourself; you are a slave to food. Do you really want food to be in control of you or do you want to be able to control yourself. I just think about that then I overeat less. (at the same time having control means eating, not starving because starving you also have no control)

Yah hun, excersizing and eating right is the ONLY way to loose weight. I know it sucks right? Haha, but then there's lypo! But I doubt you'd do that. And anorexia doesnt work (refer to my post), so really, its not that hard. Take 20-30 mins (i do 40 minutes) and just jog. If you get tired, walk briskly. Cardio is the ultimate BEST way to burn fat. I used to HATE runnng, i was the slowest runner EVER. But if lossing weight is something you truly want, then youll do whatever it takes. And if you're not willing to work a little for a 1/2 hour a day, then maybe looosing weight isnt something you really want? Yaknow?

Its your choice when you eat, so you have to be STRONG. Just say NO . :) I'm serious, though. Just east something healthy like an apple when you have to eat something. Its hard, but only you can help yourself. Go for a walk if you are tempted, or do jumping jacks, or watch TV or anything that helps you not eat. Good luck

I know how it feels to eat due to emotional issues. That is how I gained the weight myself. I am afraid that there is no "cure" for emotional eating. Just control. You would be surprised at the number of people on this board who are fighting unbelievable opstacles in their life. Everyone can lose weight despite lifes twists and turns. You will have to face whatever is getting in your way or else things will never change. You need to sit down and ask yourself which is more important - that cookie in your hand, or you being happy. And I am here to tell you that nothing is better than being happy. Pretend you are all grown up and you are your idle weight - now imagine what you would say to yourself right now...would you say "keep being unhappy" or "that one bag of chips isn't going to change anything"? Or would you say "Today is the day your life changes for ever"? Only you can... (view more)

i guess it depends on your desire to change. does eating really make you feel good? dont you feel sick after eating a lot? you can definetly lose weight with effort, but you first need to turn from your eating habits. do you honestly want all that food? get a different mindset and start from there. ;-) good luck.

Iy may seem gross but you have to realize, if you truly want to lose the weight, then you have try hard, maybe doing things you dont want to do.

If they're going to McDonald's go for the salads they have there. Remember, nobody can make you eat something you don't want to. They can make you order and then sit there with them....but they cant force you to eat it. But, i say go for the salads or the soups.
