just remember when you want to eat something and you're saying to yourself- oh well- i'll do better tomorrow- stop! because you won't get to mid march 30 pounds lighter if you do that. don't just say i'll do better tomorrow say you'll keep going strong and that you don't need that right then. say that tasting that for a moment isn't worth the hour you'll have to workout to get it back off. good luck! don't let yourself start to cheat- but if you do don't say you'll start again tomorrow- start with your next meal!

dig deep inside urself for motivation, that is the only person who will really drive yourself to loosing weight. In the end U can only do it for you. If you want it bad enough u will get there. There's more to loosin weight than just exercise and nurtition, its a mental battle too. Stick with it through the good the bad and the down-right ugly!!!! ~Just thought that i would put that, I need to say it to myself everyday, but i don't. Keep that in mind while you take ur journey. U can do it :)

keep asking urself how bad you want to loose weight or how bad you want to be healthy. Put lil reminders up like ur goal weight in key areas where you would see them everyday. I did that and put it on the fridge workout tapes and this calorie guide thing and it always keeps me thinking of where i want to go. write down all your motivations in a journal and look back at them. Hopefully those tips will help. good luck. ~chelsea~

if you have a picture of yourself when you were skinny it would be good to look at it before you eat and realize that you shou;dn't be binging or eating junk or anything when youre not hungry!

ach! you know what always motivates me and keeps me going? it's when i wear elastic things. like elastic underwear that conveniently(sarcasm) comes to my trouble spto so that my fat sticks out and makes me look lumpy. it's just so soft and disgusting. i have the same problem with my tennis spandex it's all too tight no matter how big the size is. my ultimate goal is to have muscle there instead of fat and for that to not happen so it helps me remeber why i'm doing it. and i think that i don't want to do badly on my siet because i'll regret it a lot more when i have to weigh myself for the week. remember- it's more frustrating and stressful staying fat then it is becoming skinny...

Hey! I am Mrs. motivated! I did a fitness video (the firm) last night. I feel good. As much as i hate (and i mean really hate) geting sweaty, it feels just plain good to move my body. I kinda felt like a rusty hinge finally getting WD-40ed. :) Any whoo, I dunno Girls have a ton of pressure from magazines, movies, school, and even parents (me) to lose weight just to look better, and not feel better. I've come to this great place where I know that the "world" wants me to lose weight for beauty purposes, but i'm losing it just so that i can go shopping and not have to shop around the big tire on my tummy, that and i'm looking forward to feeling lighter. Right now i just feel heavy. Does anybody know what i'm talking about?

Ht. 6'1", Start: 275 lb, Today: 260 lb (BMI %tile: 98) - This looks like a great site, good to share with others who know the struggle. I've been overweight my entire life, and it sucks. I've always been the fat kid, but it wasnt that big of a deal since I always had friends and was well liked by everyone. Anyways, im in grade 10 now and have finally just had ENOUGH of it. I want a girlfriend and thats just not going to happen having me being really overweight. I always thought i would be fat forever, but i've found inside the means and motivation to lose weight, and realise that yes, it can be done but i've got to work for it. When I started my war on flab in mid november i weighed in at about 275 pounds, although I am 6'1 and have a large frame and am fairly muscular (underneath the coat of fat that is lol). Since then i've lost about 15 pounds and am down to 260 and am already feeling and looking better. I don't eat too much, usually... (view more)

Doesn't just moving around feel good? I would also suggest walking around with a CD playe with either really upbeat music, or hard angry music. When ever i'm feeling a certain mood that i don't like music always always helps especially when i'm using energy to walk around maybe even nothing! i feel so energized!

I lost the 20 pounds by doing The Firm video, excersizing, eating right, drinking water and green tea coz it speeds up ur metabolism..and I was just patient and I believed I can do it and If you believe you can do it, you can..Coz actually I didnt think I was that overweight until my exboyfriend dumped me coz I gained weight over the summer..At first I sobbed and layed in bed all day eating icecream... lol but then I knew it was revenge! So I dropped 20 pounds and now I'm 140 and well I have some muscle too..and I walked past him at skool and I felt great! Later on that day he said he was sorry and asked for me back..And I said No ur getting too fat...and i walked away, he got the deal..I'm not skinny but I kinda have a J'lo figure.JUST DONT GIVE UP ON YOURSELF! I DID THAT TO MANY TIMES! and then i believed i could do it and basically willpower is all it took..If anyone ever makes fun or picks on you, you just prove them wrong and then that really makes you want to not give up on it...Also make sure you satisfy your biggest critic........YOU.

Hey Sarah, First of all I just wanted to say that I'm really sorry about your current situation. And I am not talking about your weight. Your family is supposed to be your supporters and help you, not to make fun of you. I agree with Krystle next time one of your family members or even your teachers.. (which i must say is totlally wrong and they should know that. The teachers job is to help you learn to grow not to bring you down) critizes you tell them how much you are trying, and how much their comments hurt you. If they do noy understand this than tell them that you really want to lose the weight, but it's very difficult without all of the support. I must say that I've had avery supportive family who has always loved me for who I am and not how much I weigh. And now that I'm finally doing this and sticking to it (although it's been less than a week) I dont know how I would do it... (view more)
