BULLETIN BOARD

~REPLY WRITING AREA~

Before you post a reply saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator . If the calculator says that you are healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that you are overweight or that you want to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

Ht. 5'4", Start: 232 lb, Today: 232 lb, Goal: 140 lb - Looking back I can't remember a time in my life where I didn't think I was fat. When I see pictures of myself from middle school it makes me sad, because I really wasn't an unhealthy weight. Once I got to highschool I started gaining weight pretty quickly, and I've been steady around 230 for the past year or so. When I was 15 I was diagnosed with PCOS, which is a hormonal disorder that makes it very hard to lose weight due to insulin resistance. On top of that I think that I've developed a binge eating problem over the past few years. My life feels out of control. I've tried on and off to lose weight since I was 13 but the attempts never lasted very long. I feel like I'll never have a healthy relationship with food and I'm just really unhappy with myself. I want to start trying again, but it's intimidating to me because I've only ever failed.
