Indeed, I will not bore you with the details, but I have had experiances in these matters of being starved myself; NOT pleasent. And Sarah, I know you were just sharing a few facts, but they were mostly incorrect...And promoted the belief of a dangerous method of weight loss. Oh yes I would like to add a few facts myself on the issue: Fasting can cause heart problems, such as irregular beating. You can hallucinate and have pain. This can lead to shock and seizures if bad enough. You feel weak and tired. I know this as one of my friends is Muslim and, according to his religion, must fast for about a month, and another friend of mine was so ill he couldn't eat for a week. And you are more likely to gain the weight back even if it wasn't completely stored as fat-you would just resume your normal eating habits and activities and gain it back anyway. And wouldn't you rather lose weight and look muscular and athletic by losing the weight by excersising than by losing it unhealthily and looking ill?^_^ |
