Yes, if you have 1500-2000 cals and 40grams o fat a day you will lose weight. You dont have to burn 1000 cals by doing exercise - you will burn that simply in everyday living. You should however do about 30-40 mins of exercise 3-5 days per week. That sounds sensible to me anyway, ive been doing that and losing weight. And its something you can live with and not feel deprived. Good luck to you my firiend!
