I thought the same thing going into middle school, and i am now reaching the end of it. What i learned is that, yea, people can be VERY mean, but that's how kids are nowadays, to keep people making fun of them, they make fun of other people. If you try to be friendly, get a new attitude, like yourself, you could be very popular, because in my school, their ARE a couple of big kids that are popular, and they are soo friendly that they make friends with other people to make them popular too.
