... All of you are leading to anorexia. I personally have lost alot of weight, i used to be fat, and now i have a 6 pack, and i am a 17 year old male. Most of my success is due to my diet. Studies have shown that if you eat too few calories, you go into a starvation mode, and your body starts hoarding fat, and storing it up. Most of you will be going into this. one of the rescent post says that if you work out for 2 hrs of arobics, and 30 min on a bike, and 25 minutes of stairs, and drinking 10 8 ounce glasses of water will get you to loose 2 lbs a week, all on only 1500 calories a day. This is proposterous, i used to think all excercise and eating a little would help me out, well, thats too little. Even though the writer was only 13 y/o, there is still a problem with her figures. Most of your calories will be burned through basal, which is the standard amount you burn a day, just for your body to function, plus a 4 hr excercise routine, that is too harsh, you wiull be on a negative calorie deficit, and without food, your body will look to feed of itself, but not stored fat, the body firstly burns of protien that you have ingested, and it will not only get you into starvation mode, it will cause you to be even more hungry than u should be, and u will begin to eat more, for the people just starting out, i reccomend to drink plenty of water, lots of it, i personally lost 30 lbs in the first week, of just water weight due to water retention, the more water you drink, the more your system is flushed out, and the more you drink water, the more it helps, because water makes you feel full, and help you metabolise stored fat. Now dont just drink water, you want to eat. Add more protien, instead of fried food, try grilled or baked chicken breast, its not only delicious, but adds protien to your diet, which adds muscle mass. For those girls looking to just get thin, try eating more fruit, and not excercising for 4 hrs a day, or 7 hrs a day, start off with 30 minutes, not only will you feel satisfaction for the fact that you are getting out there and excercising, you will also begin to loose weight and be healtheir, 30 minutes a day will do it, dont jump into something. Alternate working out, jump rope on alternating days, and keep a 30 minute cardiovascular session in ex; walking, jogging. also do crunches, they help work your abdominals. Make sure you dont keep the same workout, after 2 weeks, add more time, or if you feel your ready, after 1 weekadd 15 minutes to your walking, and jump roping, try and do more crunches or something. Start out with around 50 crunches a day, and gradually increase, dont think your going to be britney spears in one day, because you do the same amount of crunches she does (she does 750 a day just to keep her abs) just gradually increase, this will lead to healthy eating habits, and make it easier, once you loose the weight, to keep it off, cause thats the hardest part, try keeping a 6 pack, you have to do more crunches a day, than you did to get them, just to keep them, belive me, i have to do over 1000 a day. If it burns, thats good, because its just the lactic acid being secreted from your muscles. When you work out, the muscles are broken down, ripped, but not a bad rip, a good one, and once you wait a day, they grow back stronger, thats why if you lift weights, you alternate the sessions you do, every other day, it gives your muscles time to develop. I hope this helped you some way, i just dont want to see little 13 year old girls getting the idea that they need to work out for 4 hrs a day, just to get skinny, sure you will loose weight, but it will be muscle. If you work out too much, you willhurt yourself, and get tired and wore out.u dont want to starve yourself, because its like going on a crash diet, you will loose weight, but it will be a combination of muscle and fat, and studies have shown, people going on crash diets, eating less than they should, gain the weight back after a period of time, but instead of a gain of part muscle and part fat, its all fat, so u will infact loose muscle on a 1500 calorie a day diet, working out for hours at a time. Just take it easy, it wont come off fast, just remember, for the more heavier guys and gals, it didnt take a day to put it on, it wont take just a day to take it off, you need to give it time.
