For your height 145 doesn't seem too bad, and losing 8-10 pounds sounds perfect for you! As for exercising, you should do a lot of aerobic exercise and some toning exercises w/weights or without. (Examples of without weights: push-ups, crunches, leg lifts, etc.)Try searching online for some example strength training exercises, because the more muscle that you have, the faster your metabolism goes.
