My ACP english class is doing reports on the "weight debate" topic. I choose the epidemic of overweight teens. I myself used to be overweight in my younger(9-14) years, and I happened to be in the same perdicament that you are in. Here's some advice; The excercise idea is great, but you have to stick with it. You can't just do it for a couple of days and then stop. What I would suggest is to write out a plan. Try walking a couple miles for a week, along with some light weight lifting and crunches(not sit-up because those make ur abs stick out making you actually look fatter). Then as the weeks progress, raise you fitness level higher. Ex. one mile, then 2 miles, then jog a mile, then run a mile, etc. Also lift the weights more reps, and more crunches. If that doesn't appeal to you, swim. Im a swimmer and its the best weight loss sport their is. Mostly because you can eat whatever type of food you want, except soda, or pop, due to the carbonation. If you like my first idea, go for 6 times a week, and try for early morning on saturday. The one time a week treat is an ok thing as well. However DONT CHEAT YOURSELF. The most important thing to have is will power. You can do it, and if you tell yourself and stick with it, you can lose the weight. Im not a big fan of the slim fast diet, but I have been told that it fills people up. So good luck!!! |
