You might want to try starting out easier and working yourself up. I am also overweight and so is my mom and dad so we are trying the atkins diet. I have been on it since June 1st and lost 27 pounds. What it is is eating practicaly no carbs and than working yourself up. You start at 20 per day and than increase. You might think it sounds bad but there are tons of low carb candies, bread, pasta, chips, and cookies. It also helps to work out some such as running, exercising and playing sports.
