Reply from Katie, Age 14 - 5/26/01 - IP#: 64.209.55.92Hi My name is katie. I am too overweight. I would like to slim down over the summer. Here are some tips and I hope that they help you!! Drink lots of water. I was told that a healthy person should drink 8-10 ounces of water a day and an overweight person should drink another ounce for every 25 pounds they are overweight. Now I know you're probably saying that's a lot of water and it is but if each day you increase how much water you drink and start decreasing all of the pop(soda) you drink then that will help you ALOT!! If you eat a lot of candy then you should cut down on that. I was told that everytime that I want some candy that I should brush my teeth. Try it maybe it will help you. Instead of eating everytime you have a craving try to do something else wether it is going outside and playing ball or going for a walk or even just reading a book.
