Try and eat foods that are lower in fat and higher in protein. I count the calories and stick to a certain amount. Also get your mum to buy lower fat foods. You can even get lower fat crisps and cakes in case the dieting becomes boring. Also have fruit handy to nosh on if you get handy and drink lots more water. Good luck.
