Maybe if women heard more comments like that they wouldn't beat themselves up about their weight all the time. I agree with you that 100 pounds isn't overweight but there aren't too many who write into this form who are that weight. I think with many it is simply either the case that they have gotten into bad eating habits and don't know how to get out of them and begin to eat properly and also they want support from others in the same boat. I guess it could be the case that if these bigger ladies lost the weight then they still wouldn't be any happier but unfortunately in our society image is everything and particularly so for young men and women. |
