My daughter is almost the same 12 as you and the same weight. I don't know your height but she is 4 foot 9 but short for her age so I would guess you are a bit taller. Firtly, you are not very overweight and certainly not obese. Your friends may be skinny but they may have a different metabolism and height to you so forget about what your friends look like. The only person controlling what you eat is you so you have to exercise will power. It is difficult at first but you don't have a lot of weight to lose so it shouldn't be that difficult. The important thing to remember is that you can do something about it but it is hard work and you have to be committed to it and determined. Forget the chocolate and the pizza unless you can control yourself enough to have one slice only. My daughter has lost the weight by cutting out all fattening foods that are high in calories and fat. Look on the Internet and get lists of the calories of the foods. I went on yesterday and there are loads of these lists available. You do have to know how many calories foods are and if they are high in fat and calories then cut them out or eat less of them. Find out from a doctor or nurse how many calories you need for your age and height and try and stick to that but you will have to write everything down. It is boring and laborious and takes some effort but remember, you control your weight and don't let your weight control you. Also drink more water, take more exercise, eat more fruit, cut out all the very fattening foods and I promise you that the weight will come off. It won't be instant but if you stick to this for at least a week then you will see some weight loss in the first week and maybe a steadier loss after that but only if you keep to the diet.
